Headspace

Spotify and Apple Music in a 2000 Windows Media Player skin

What it is

A native Mac player for Spotify and Apple Music that wears the original Windows Media Player "Headspace" skin from 2000, the lime-green head. Borderless, transparent window. The wings fold out when you need the EQ or the queue.

The bit I'm proud of

Making a skin from 2000 behave like a real modern app: a transparent Cocoa window around React in a WKWebView, driving both the Spotify Web Playback SDK and MusicKit.

On this tab: The skin, the purple transport buttons, the wings that fold out, and the orbit rings.
